Makita Battery not chargingUpdated 4 hours ago

Battery Not Charging

If your battery won't charge, don't immediately assume the battery itself has failed. Charging issues can often be caused by external factors.

Possible Causes

  • Loose power connection
  • Faulty charger
  • Dirty battery terminals
  • Battery temperature too high or too low
  • Internal battery fault

Resolution

  • Check the charger is plugged in and receiving power.
  • Remove the battery and inspect the terminals for dust or debris.
  • Clean the contacts using a dry cloth.
  • Allow the battery to return to room temperature before charging.
  • Test the charger with another compatible battery if available.

If the battery still fails to charge, it may require replacement.
